DWARF CLARE VALLEY PINK, Australia. A high-yielding, early-maturing tomato variety, specially developed for limited growing spaces. The compact plants grow to about 50 cm. in height, have a tree-like structure, strong growth habit, indeterminate growth, and regular leaf type. Suitable for both open ground and container cultivation.
It was developed as part of the Dwarf Tomato Project between 2012 and 2018. The variety was bred by Patrina Nuske Small (Australia), Craig LeHoullier, and Ted Maiden (USA). The genetic line — Grumpy — resulted from a cross between Black From Tula and Budai Torpe. The first public release was in 2019.
VARIETY CHARACTERISTICS:
The plant stands out for its remarkable productivity: each bush produces numerous round fruits weighing between 70 and 150 g. The tomatoes are bright pink, with an attractive appearance and excellent market quality. The flesh is juicy and firm, with a rich aroma and a well-balanced sweet flavor, without excessive acidity.
The variety is resistant to common tomato diseases and adapts well to different climate conditions. It delivers stable yields even with temperature and humidity fluctuations.
