DWARF CRIMSON SOCKEYE. A dwarf, mid-season variety. A strong yet compact tree-like plant. This variety was recently released as part of the Dwarf Tomato Project. Parent lines include Tidy F1, Pink Berkeley Tie Dye, and Rosella Purple F4. The fruits are medium-sized, highly ornamental, and beautiful.
Rich dark pink color with green stripes. Juicy flesh with lots of gel. Flavor — outstanding! This F5 cross between Pink Berkeley Tie Dye and Rosella Purple may still segregate. A mid-season novelty variety in the dwarf series. Plants grow up to 1.0 meter tall — sturdy, stocky, and trouble-free.
This variety requires minimal care and no pruning. Fruit weight ranges from 150 to 230 grams. Exceptionally productive. A very attractive beefsteak — both inside and out. The flesh is intensely colored, with a deep red-cherry hue! High sweetness balanced by pleasant acidity. Firm, juicy, and very aromatic.
