DWARF FRAZIER'S GEM, USA. A mid-season, compact, and high-yielding variety with a long fruiting period. The sturdy bushes grow up to 70 cm tall, heavily laden with bright fruits, very decorative in appearance. The tomatoes are red, attractive, high-quality, and considered the best of their kind this season. The flavor is rich, classic, and tomato-like. This regional variety was selected from seeds obtained by William Frazier from Oregon State University.
The plant is determinant with large foliage. Yield improves in the second half of the season. The fruits have golden-red hues, are round with a slight heart-shaped tendency, clustered in bunches of 3 to 5. During ripening, the tomatoes change color from green to yellow, then orange, and finally to red. All these color transitions can be seen on one bush.
At the fruit stem attachment point, there is a shallow indentation, and the scar from the blossom end resembles a star. The flesh inside is pink rather than red. The tomatoes are juicy, with thick walls and sturdy partitions. The taste is sweet and balanced. Fruit weight ranges from 120 to 250 g. Very tasty — rated 5 out of 5, with fruit beauty and yield rated 5+.
