DWARF FRED'S TIE DYE. A low-growing, mid-late variety from the “Dwarf Tomato Project.” The fruits are flat-round, pink with green stripes. They are meaty and juicy with excellent flavor and a pleasant aroma. The tomatoes are tasty, attractive, and visually appealing. This variety was created by crossing “Berkeley Tie Dye” and “Dwarf Wild Fred”. The fruits weigh between 180 and 550 g, round, slightly flattened, with wavy or smooth shoulders. The fruit coloration is purple with gold and green stripes, resembling a zebra pattern.
The flesh is dark purple, with a rich flavor typical of black tomatoes — very intense and well-balanced. The plant is compact, tree-like in shape with regular, wrinkled leaves, and indeterminate growth. Fruit production is abundant and steady starting from mid-season. To increase yield, it is recommended to train the plant into several stems. It can be grown in a pot, but the fruits will be smaller.
