DWARF HAZY'S DREAM, USA. A variety with a striking, unusual appearance and reliable productivity. The fruits are round, weighing between 80 and 150 grams, and grow in small, dense clusters. The skin is a rich purple color with darker, almost black shoulders — very ornamental. The flesh is dense, meaty, and juicy.
The flavor is pleasant, rich, and slightly sweet without noticeable acidity, with a mild fruity note. The plant has a compact, tree-like habit, yet it is vigorous, with typical wrinkled potato-type foliage common to dwarf tomatoes. Although indeterminate in growth, its compact size makes it suitable for smaller soil volumes.
HISTORY & GROWING TIPS:
Developed between 2012 and 2018 as part of the renowned "Dwarf Tomato Project." It is the result of a cross between Dwarf Wild Fred F3 and the Purple Haze F1 hybrid, within the "Hazy" breeding line. The name was suggested by project participant Susan Oliverson, who played an active role in promoting and documenting Dwarf varieties.
For best results, it’s recommended to grow this variety with multiple stems. It performs well in both open ground and containers. Begins fruiting mid-season and continues until the first frost. High yield, fruits keep their shape well and resist cracking. Excellent for fresh eating, salads, and processing.
