DWARF HOWARD’S RAILROAD. This mid-season, low-growing tomato variety stands out for its unusual striped leaf type. The plants reach a height of 0.6-0.7 m and form large, light green potato-type leaves, which develop a golden hue on the tops with age, creating a striking decorative appearance. The fruits of the variety are round, pale yellow, weighing 30-60 g (according to some collectors – up to 120 g), with juicy, meaty flesh. Their taste is bright and well-balanced: a slight tartness combines with sweetness and citrus notes, giving a fruity freshness.
These tomatoes are ideal for salads, fresh consumption, and light culinary processing. The variety was created within the Dwarf Tomato Project from the Betty line by crossing Mullens Mortgage Lifter and Dwarf Jade Beauty, after which the plants were stabilized. Howard's Railroad is unique for its decorative foliage and compact form, combining high yield with a spectacular appearance and bright, refreshing taste of the fruits. This variety was officially introduced in 2024 and immediately attracted the attention of collectors seeking original dwarf tomatoes with unusual coloring and taste qualities.
