DWARF HUSKY GOLD SELECT, USA. Outdoor plants grow up to 0.8 meters tall. Sprawling, with sturdy thick stems and large wrinkled leaves, producing 5-6 side shoots. Each cluster sets 4-6 round, multi-chambered fruits of bright yellow-orange color. Fruit weight is 100-150 g. Suitable for container growing. Excellent disease resistance. The flesh is dense, oily, sweet, bright orange-yellow, with high flavor quality and a fruity aftertaste, and is not prone to cracking.
A recent variety from the USA, bred and stabilized by Carol Knapp. It originated from a cross between ‘Dwarf Golden Champion’ and ‘Green Giant’. Fruits are round, slightly flattened at the poles, more or less ribbed at the top, with rounded shoulders. Glossy orange-yellow skin. Juicy, full orange flesh. Mild taste. Dwarf plant with moderate growth, regular rugose foliage, and a determined habit. Regular yields from early season until frost.
