DWARF IRMA’S HIGHLAND. An absolute novelty, a very interesting variety distinguished by high yield and rich fruit flavor. The variety was developed within the Dwarf Tomato Project and belongs to the Teensy line. It was created and stabilized by crossing the Mexico Midget and Dwarf Summertime Green varieties. The official release took place on September 1, 2024. The plant is of the dwarf type, with regular leaf, and is mid-season. Despite belonging to the "dwarf" category, the variety exhibits unusually vigorous growth: the bushes are very tall for this group and resemble indeterminate varieties in their growth habit.
Under favorable conditions, plants can grow up to 2.5-3 meters, although their height is more commonly around 2-2.4 m. Suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses. The fruits are small, cherry-type, of chocolate color, with a slightly flattened (oblate) shape. The size is convenient for fresh consumption. The yield is very high: the bushes are literally laden with clusters containing a large number of fruits. Taste is one of the main strengths of the variety. It is bright, rich, with a pronounced "explosion" on the palate: there is a pleasant acidity, a thick syrupy sweetness, and a deep savory umami note.
