DWARF LOXTON LAD. A dwarf and mid-season variety. Maturity period – 70 days, with a tree-like bush. The fruits are bright, rich orange-red in color, sometimes with golden spots. The flesh is juicy with a balanced rich flavor and a slight tanginess. Loxton Lad was bred from Rosella Purple and Orange Heirloom varieties, created by Patryna Nuske Small in 2009 under the name Rosy F1. An Australian tomato with rugose foliage.
Produces large, smooth, elongated orange fruits weighing from 150 to 300 grams. The fruits are meaty and juicy. To prevent branch breakage under the weight of the fruits, support is necessary. The plants have strong stems and dense foliage, reaching up to 1 meter tall by the end of the season. The name Loxton comes from the town of the same name in the southern region of Australia, known for growing citrus fruits.
ABOUT THE DWARF SERIES
The Dwarf Tomato Project tomatoes are a unique series of varieties with compact bushes and diverse fruits. They were developed as part of an international project to create compact yet productive tomatoes. Key characteristics of the series:
