DWARF MAHOGANY, REDWOOD, Australia. This is a mid-early variety with a long fruiting period. Plants are compact and dwarf-sized. It shows good resistance to diseases. The bushes typically reach about 50 cm in height, though taller plants may occur. The largest fruit we harvested weighed 380 grams. The tomatoes have an attractive reddish-brown color and a flattened shape with light ribbing near the stem.
In the summer of 2008, Patrina Nuske Small crossed the "Wilpena F2" variety from the "Sleepy family" with "Cherokee Purple," which led to the creation of the "Plentiful family" line. This new variety was developed between 2008 and 2015 and was officially released to the public in 2015 in the F7 generation. The average fruit weight ranges from 150 to 250 grams. It offers a good yield, especially from mid-season onward.
The flavor is rich, well-balanced, with a pleasant sweetness and slight tang. A very charming variety. The fruits have a mahogany or chocolate-like coloration (dark flesh with a yellowish skin), round and slightly flattened with plump shoulders. The flesh is dense, juicy, and multilayered. The taste is complex, pleasant, and well-balanced. The plant is compact, with regular rugose foliage and indeterminate growth.
