DWARF MANDURANG MOON. A rare and expressive variety from the series of dwarf tomatoes that combines the decorative appeal of the bush with excellent taste qualities and stable yield. The plant is compact, of a determinate type, reaching a height of 70-100 cm in open ground. The bushes are strong, neat, hold their shape well, do not sprawl, and look very impressive due to the large, dark green potato-type leaves. Suitable for both garden beds and growing in containers and greenhouses. The fruits are plum-shaped or oval, uniform, dense, weighing about 20-25 g. The color is unusual — a soft yellowish-cream shade, reminiscent of the color of ivory.
The tomatoes look very attractive in clusters and are excellent for whole-fruit canning, garnishing dishes, and fresh consumption. The taste is harmonious and pleasant: a well-balanced combination of sweetness and a light refreshing acidity, which makes the variety popular with both adults and children. The variety has an interesting origin story. It was created between 2009 and 2017 as part of the international Dwarf Tomato Project. It belongs to the "Snowy" line and was obtained by crossing the 'Cherry White Snow' variety with the red F2 form of the Sleepy line. The hybridization was conducted by breeder Ray South in 2009, and the variety was officially introduced to the public in 2018.
