DWARF MARALINGA, USA. Dwarf plant 0.7-1.0 meters tall. Fruits are burgundy-brown with raspberry-colored flesh. Large fruits throughout the whole plant, with almost no small ones. Excellent, balanced flavor between acidity and sweetness. Regular, wrinkled leaf. Uniform and abundant fruit set. A variety developed from 2008 to 2015 as part of the “Dwarf Tomato Project.” This is one of the Plentiful F1 new line varieties, a cross between “Cherokee Purple” and “Wilpena F2.”
Fruits are chocolate-brown (black with yellow skin), round with more or less plump shoulders depending on size. Scarlet flesh with the intense, rich and smoky flavor typical of black tomatoes. Compact tree-like plant with regular rugose foliage and indeterminate growth. For higher yields, it is recommended to grow this variety with multiple stems. Over time, it can be grown in a large container, but the fruit size and yield will be reduced. Excellent yields from mid-season.
