DWARF MAURA’S CARDINAL, USA-Australia. A variety created by Patrina Nuske for the Dwarf Tomato Project, through a cross between Summer Gold (from the “Achoo” family) and Sleeping Lady. "Maura’s Cardinal" was selected and named by Susan Oliverson along with Craig Lehoullier, who also participated in its development, and Bill Minkey, who grew it for final selection. Extremely limited availability in 2021. Bush with rugose potato leaves.

The plant is strong and vigorous, reaching 1.5 meters in open ground. Does not require pruning, but staking is desirable, otherwise the plant may break under the weight of the harvest. It remained completely disease-free throughout the season. A very striking mid-season variety! Very large chocolate-striped, flattened fruits weighing 250–300 grams. Strongly aromatic, with a balance of acidity and sweetness, and very tasty.

CHARACTERISTICS OF DWARF TOMATOES:
