DWARF RUBY SLIPPERS. A true novelty! Released by breeder Karen Olivier in early 2023. This well-known collector introduced a brand-new group of dwarf tomatoes called “Short and Sweet”, inspired by the theme of The Wizard of Oz. The variety is highly decorative and extremely productive. Plants are compact with spreading shoots, reaching about 1 meter in height. Despite their miniature size, they deliver heavy yields — the trusses are so large and heavy that they sometimes outweigh the bush itself.
Fruits are bright red with golden-yellow streaks, very attractive and ornamental. They are round, slightly flattened, and resemble tiny jewels. Inside there are 2-3 seed chambers, with juicy but firm flesh. The flavor is rich, well-balanced, sweet-tart, and intensely tomato-like. These are small but very striking and delicious “gems,” created to bring both harvest and beauty.
