DWARF SPECKLED HEART, USA. A mid-season, determinate, semi-bushy variety of dwarf tomatoes. The plant is compact, 60–70 cm. tall, with wrinkled, regular-type foliage, occasionally showing potato-type leaves. It has an extended fruiting period, allowing for a long harvest window.
Its excellent flavor makes it versatile in the kitchen. The fruits are rich red, round-heart-shaped, weighing 120-250 g. Very meaty, juicy, with thin skin. The aroma is pronounced, the taste is harmonious and sweet, with a light fruity note. Perfect for fresh salads or various processing uses.
FEATURES & HISTORY OF THE VARIETY
This is a tree-type plant with rugose foliage and a growth habit closer to indeterminate, but its compact shape makes it easy to grow even in small spaces. The heart-shaped fruits have dense, almost fully meaty flesh with minimal seeds. It begins producing a heavy and stable crop mid-season.
A relatively new variety, bred from the 'Speckly' family by crossing Speckled Roman and Dwarf Golden Heart. Developed and named by Craig LeHoullier, it was first introduced to the public in 2021. Its hallmark is smooth scarlet fruits with elegant golden streaks that give it a festive appearance.
