DWARF TIGER EYE, USA. A mid-season, highly productive variety. Plants reach a height of 60 to 80 cm. They produce elongated, plum-shaped fruits with ochre-yellow tones dominating at full ripeness. The flavor is rich and sweet with a light fruity tartness. The tomato is well balanced and very pleasant in taste.

Fruits are dense and meaty. The flesh contains relatively little juice, making them ideal for sauces, purées, and home canning. Due to their firmness, the fruits are resistant to cracking under moisture fluctuations and transport well. The this variety was selected and named by Susan Oliverson.

This tomato stands out for its high productivity and outstanding taste. Originating from a cross by Sherry Long between a selection from "The Lazy Family" and the “Orange Banana” variety, it became part of the "Leggy Family" line. Highly recommended for all fans of the Dwarf series as one of its finest representatives.

VARIETY HISTORY

This is a relatively new variety developed as part of the Dwarf Tomato Project between 2012 and 2018. It belongs to the "Leggy" hybrid line, created by crossing "Orange Banana" with an F2 selection from "Lazy Family" (Kangaroo Paw Brown F4 × Purple Russian), selected by Sherry Long. First introduced to the public in 2019. The fruits are elongated, plum-shaped, and weigh between 80 and 130 grams.

At ripeness, the skin takes on reddish-brown and orange hues. The flesh is thick, almost paste-like, with few seeds and little gel. The flavor is well balanced and harmonious. Suitable for fresh eating and processing. The plants are compact, tree-like, vigorous, with regular foliage and indeterminate growth. Heavy yields begin in mid-season.
