DWARF WALTER’S FANCY. A mid-early tomato variety from the Dwarf Tomato Project, introduced in 2021. The plant is compact and has a sturdy, standard growth habit, reaching up to 60 cm in height. Its unusual decorative foliage is adorned with a variegated white pattern. The seedlings look strong and attractive, while mature plants retain a neat, compact shape.
The fruits are round, multi-locular, and weigh approximately 150–200 g. They stand out with their beautiful light-yellow color, smooth glossy skin, and firm flesh. The tomatoes look striking both on the plants and after harvesting. Their large fruits are especially eye-catching against the decorative foliage.
The tomatoes have a sweet, rich, complex flavor with interesting fruity notes in the aftertaste. This variety combines an unusual appearance with excellent taste. The attractive fruits are ideal for fresh salads and summer vegetable dishes, where their sweetness and pleasant aroma can fully shine.
When growing this variety, it is important to consider the characteristics of its decorative foliage: the white-patterned areas are sensitive to sunburn, so it is best to choose a planting site without harsh midday sunlight. The plant does not require suckering, but it is advisable to provide support, as the weight of the large fruits may cause the plant to lean or topple over.
