EARLY-83. An early-maturing tomato variety from Moldova that begins producing a harvest just 85–90 days after sowing. The plants are short and sturdy, reaching approximately 35–60 cm in height, and are suitable for growing outdoors. The bushes have a compact growth habit and do not take up much space in garden beds. This variety is valued for its consistent yields and good adaptability to garden cultivation.
The fruits are flat-round, smooth, and have an attractive orange-red color. The average weight of one tomato is around 80–95 g. The tomatoes are suitable for fresh consumption, making flavorful juice, and preparing homemade tomato paste. Thanks to their firm skin and good transportability, the harvested fruits are easy to transport and use as needed.
This is a heat-loving crop, so it is best to choose a sunny planting site with well-warmed soil. With sufficient moisture and suitable temperatures, the first seedlings usually emerge 10–11 days after sowing. The seeds should be sown at a depth of approximately 1–2 cm. Moderate watering and regular care are important for healthy plant development.
The variety is characterized by uniform fruit ripening, which simplifies harvesting and allows the tomatoes to be processed promptly. It has moderate resistance to late blight, so preventive measures are advisable when conditions favor the disease. Its short bushes and early maturity make it a practical choice for outdoor beds.
