BLACK ZEBRA CHERRY. This early and striking cherry tomato variety features a sturdy bush up to 1.8 m. tall in open ground. Each cluster bears 7 to 9 fruits weighing 45-60 g. Very high-yielding! The fruits are round, chocolate-colored with green and red stripes, and have a firm skin — very attractive. The fruits are meaty inside with thick walls and low juice content. It is an early-mid, compact, and productive variety. On 10 cm. of the top stem, I counted 5 clusters with 7 fruits each.
The fruits are dense but not hard, with a beautiful dark purple color and dark green pattern. After drought, the first ripe fruits cracked but did not rot. The fruits literally pile up on each other. The flesh is the same dark shade as the outside. Very tasty, sweet, with a bright fruity aroma. The flavor is rich, sweet with a slight tang, perfectly balanced and very pleasant! Top marks for beauty and exceptional yield!
