ESTONIAN. Is a low-growing tomato variety of Estonian breeding, perfectly suited for open-field cultivation. The plant is compact, standard-type, reaching up to 1 meter in height, forming a strong bush that is not prone to excessive growth. The variety belongs to the group of early-ripening Estonian tomatoes, valued for their high disease resistance, including resistance to brown leaf spot, as well as for stable yields even under unfavorable weather conditions. Fruits are large, fleshy, weighing 200-350 g, uniform and firm. The shape is heart-shaped or round-flat, with a strong skin and a deep red color.
By plant habit and fruit type, the variety resembles the popular ‘Batyanya’, but differs in having red-colored fruits. The flavor is rich and classic tomato-like, well balanced, with pronounced sweetness and dense flesh, making the variety versatile — suitable both for fresh consumption and for processing. The first fruits ripen very early, on par with the best early varieties. Fruits tolerate transportation and storage well. The variety demonstrates reliability, high yield quality, and low maintenance requirements, and is rightfully considered one of the best low-growing tomatoes for open ground.
