FLASCHENTOMATEN RED LONG. A unique bottle-shaped variety, bred and stabilized by breeder Valerie Zonn based on the Corianne F1 hybrid (San Marzano type). The name Flaschentomaten literally translates as "flask," which fully reflects the original fruit shape. The plant is tall, indeterminate type, mid-season. The bush is powerful, actively bears fruit throughout the season and maintains high productivity until the very frosts. The variety performs excellently both in open ground and in greenhouses. The fruits are bright red, glossy, very neat and uniform, elongated bottle-shaped with an elegant, characteristic pointed tip.
Fruit weight is 25-50 g. The visual appeal of the variety deserves a 5+ rating — the clusters look decorative. The flesh is dense, meaty, and elastic, the fruits hold their shape well. The taste is pleasant, sweet, balanced, without excessive cloying — exactly what is valued in universal varieties. The main feature of the variety is an extremely small number of seeds. Seeds are practically absent, located not in juice but in dense jelly, sometimes literally in the form of a single "drop."
The variety is especially valuable for processing. The yield is high, the variety consistently forms a large number of dense, marketable fruits. Thanks to the flesh structure and shape, the tomatoes are ideal for whole-fruit canning, drying, baking, and sauces. A rare, unusual, and extremely practical variety combining exclusive shape, high yield, and excellent technological qualities — a true find for a collection and commercial cultivation.
