FRENCH GROZDEVOY. A mid-season classic variety for canning. A very vigorous plant reaching up to 1.7 meters in height, with clusters bearing 7 to 9 fruits weighing 50-60 grams each. The yield per plant can reach up to 5 kg. The fruit shape is a classic plum type, 6-7 cm long and about 3 cm wide, firm, without defects or cracks. The color is a rich red. Inside, the flesh is red with two seed chambers and thick walls.
A tall, mid-season, highly productive variety with a long fruiting period. One of the most undemanding and disease-resistant varieties. Clusters are simple, but so heavily loaded with fruits that the patch of plants looks like a solid wall of tomatoes. An excellent choice for canning. The fruits are finger-shaped, bright red, smooth, weighing from 50 to 80 grams. The harvest matures 105-120 days after sowing.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FRENCH GROZDEVOY VARIETY
Universal variety, well-storing, meaty, juicy, and sweet. Tomatoes are not tough, meaty, without cracks or spots. At the same time, they store very well. The variety is highly disease-resistant. Where others fail, this one performs excellently. In our collection for over 15 years and always in demand.
The French Grozdevoy variety has nothing to do with France. It was developed by Siberian breeders who aimed to create a variety with strong immunity and stable fruiting. It belongs to the new tomato types. Tomato description:
- Plant – determinate, reaches 100–120 cm outdoors, 200 cm in greenhouses.
- Stems – strong and sturdy, not spreading and not prone to forming side shoots.
- Leaves – medium-sized, dark green, smooth, without pubescence.
- Fruits – formed in clusters of 12–20 tomatoes. Average fruit weight – up to 100–120 g.
- Shape – ripe fruits are finger-shaped, elongated or pear-shaped, with bright red, smooth skin.
- Flesh – juicy and tasty, with two seed chambers filled with seeds.
- Keeping quality – firm and elastic skin protects the tomatoes during transportation and ensures long shelf life – up to 4–5 weeks.
