GAIL. A new variety created and developed by Bill Jeffers. It was obtained by crossing the “Green Giant” and “Yellow Submarine” varieties. This variety is still unstable, especially in terms of color. Some plants may produce green fruits. The plants are vigorous, tall, productive, and have potato-like foliage.
The fruits are round-flat, ribbed around the stem, weighing 200–300 grams, and crack-free. They are very juicy, tender, very sweet, with a pleasant flavor. We really liked the taste of this tomato. The yellow tomato was recognized as the best in 2014 during a user poll on Doc&Katie’s Garden.
Seeds were collected only from yellow fruits. A delicate bicolor with creamy-yellow aromatic flesh. The taste is sweet, very juicy. The plant reaches 1.3 m, is strong, and has medium yield. Fruit weight starts from 200 grams. The variety is not entirely stable and produced three colors: creamy, green, and yellow.
