GARTEN FREUDE. One of the popular tall cherry tomato varieties, valued for its abundant fruiting and excellent sweet flavor. It is a mid-season variety, with the first ripe fruits beginning to mature approximately 70–80 days after germination, depending on growing conditions.
The plants are vigorous and tall, reaching about 1.8–2 m in height and producing long, impressive trusses that can grow up to 50 cm. Each truss carries a large number of small fruits, so during the fruiting period the plant is literally covered with numerous clusters of bright tomatoes.
The fruits are round, deep red, and weigh approximately 20–25 g. The flesh is juicy, tender, and very sweet, making these cherry tomatoes especially enjoyable to eat straight from the plant. With good care, the variety can produce a generous harvest and also shows good disease resistance.
This tomato is excellent for fresh eating, salads, and decorating dishes. The small, uniform fruits are also convenient for whole-fruit canning. The variety will especially appeal to those who love sweet cherry tomatoes, long trusses, and stable, prolonged fruiting.
