GRANDFATHER’S HONEY. An experimental variety created by breeder Tatyana Nagle. It originated from open (free) pollination of the Babushkin Med X variety, so some variation and diversity of traits may occur in its offspring. The plant is indeterminate, reaching about 1.8-1.9 m, early-ripening, and high-yielding — the bushes are literally covered with large, meaty, heart-shaped fruits weighing from 100 to 450 g, with some specimens reaching up to 1.5 kg.
The fruits are pink-raspberry colored with a light anthocyanin (purple) blush. The flesh is tender, juicy, and sugary, with no noticeable acidity. The flavor is purely sweet, rich, and aromatic. This variety is especially valued for its dessert-like taste and beautiful appearance, making it perfect for fresh eating and salads. Because of its experimental nature, it is of great interest to collectors and rare variety enthusiasts.
