GREEN PINEAPPLE. A mid-height, mid-season variety with high productivity. Developed in 1991 in Springfield, Ohio. The fruits are round-flat, smooth, and turn a bronze-green color when ripe. They have a sweet flavor with a unique fruity-spicy aroma. Fruit weight ranges from 180 to 300 g. In open ground, plants grow up to 1.2 meters tall. This tomato produces a generous yield of delicious fruits.
Sow seeds at 16–20°C in a well-lit indoor space about 5 weeks before transplanting. Once the danger of frost has passed, plant outdoors, leaving at least 50 cm. between plants. Bury the stem up to the first leaves. Warmth and light are essential for growth. In cooler climates, greenhouse cultivation is recommended with regular watering depending on soil conditions.
