GRIMPANTE X BRANDYWINE. A rare tomato variety developed by Reinhard Kraft (Germany) by crossing "Climber from Mexico" with a line of the famous "Brandywine". This is a relatively recent selection that combines ornamental appeal, high yield, and excellent flavor. The plant is indeterminate, with strong, vine-like growth and potato-leaf foliage.
Vigorous bush with abundant vegetative development. Mid-season variety that produces heavily from mid-season until frost. Fruits are round-plum shaped, slightly elongated, weighing between 50 and 120 grams. The skin is dark pink with a purplish hue, turning almost red when fully ripe. Light ribbing may be present.
FEATURES:
Fruits grow in dense clusters and hold well on the stem, making it easy to harvest whole trusses. The flesh is deep pink, very juicy, with a strong, pronounced aroma. The flavor is sweet and well-balanced, with the rich depth typical of Brandywine types. Not only delicious but also highly ornamental — the fruit looks spectacular both on the plant and when harvested.
This tomato is a true rarity, hardly found in international seed catalogs. The seeds we acquired were from an old German batch and gave only a few sprouts. Thanks to careful selection and preservation, we were able to save and propagate this unique variety.
