HUNGARIAN HEART, Hungary. An old family heirloom, mid-to-late season variety with strong, tall plants reaching up to 1.6 meters. Each cluster produces 3–4 large fruits, each weighing 400 grams or more — no small ones observed. Fruits are heart-shaped, smooth, and ripen fully without green shoulders. The color is soft pink, with deeper pink flesh. The texture is meaty and tender, with a melting, rich, and slightly sweet taste.
This is a tall, productive variety with extended fruiting until frost. A treasured Hungarian heirloom known in the USA since 1901. A real superstar! Extremely vigorous plants with massive yields. The dense foliage hides the fruits well, but once harvested, they impress with their size, appearance, and above all — their taste.
The fruits are stunning — smooth, faceted, shiny, and rich pink in color. They are crack-resistant and contain very few seeds. The flavor is sweet and rich, with a dense flesh and pleasant aroma.
