ICICLE BLACK, Sumy Region, Ukraine. The author of the variety is A. I. Kulik, a well-known breeder in Ukraine. An early and very tasty variety — sweet, juicy, melting, the kind you want to eat all the time. Bush 1.2–1.4 meters tall, medium strength, 6–7 fruits per cluster, weighing 120–160 g. Yield above average. The first seed selection was carried out in 2006.
The fruits are shaped like a purple-chocolate plum, without a green spot at the stem. This tomato grew in our field and resulted from open pollination of an unknown variety. That season there was a very strong thunderstorm with terrible hail that destroyed the tomato field with 600 varieties of seed tomatoes.
Beautiful, delicious, extremely productive, with increased disease resistance. Everything got so mixed up that it was impossible to understand where the 2 found fruits originally grew. Through Dmitry Terentyev, the variety made its way to Russia, and by 2011 it had already appeared in Canada and the USA.

Over the years, the variety has spread around the world and received only positive feedback. The fruits are quite meaty, firm, dense, two-chambered, with a strong skin, tightly held in clusters, and can be cut in bunches. In the 2021 season, the flavor was rich and tomato-like, very good, rated 4+, but a little lacking in sweetness. However, with salt and in salads, this is not noticeable.
The fruits are not very juicy, the aroma is pleasantly tomato-like, and they are very good for canning. The taste is very sweet with a rich tomato aroma and spicy aftertaste. The flesh is oily, meaty, with thick walls. A wonderful variety! Top marks for beauty and taste! Very worthy, highly recommended!
