ITALIAN GOLD. A compact, reliable paste-type variety with bright yellow-orange fruits and excellent culinary qualities. The plant is determinate, bush-type, not tall — reaching 0.5-0.7 m in open ground. The bush is neat, sturdy, does not require side-shooting or complex shaping, making the variety especially convenient to grow. The ripening period is medium, about 85 days. The variety tolerates heat well, is resistant to major diseases, and bears fruit stably both in open ground and in containers.
The fruits are elongated plum-shaped, weighing 50-180 g, bright yellow or yellow-orange in color. The flesh is dense, meaty, sugary, practically without acidity, with a minimal number of seeds. The tomatoes do not crack, do not leak, have good shelf life, and retain their shape excellently during processing. The variety is ideal for whole-fruit canning, freezing, drying, making sauces, and paste. "Italian Gold" is a practical, productive, and versatile tomato for those who appreciate dense structure, sweet flavor, and ease of care.
