IVAN KUPALA. A high-yielding and completely undemanding tomato, ideal for both experienced gardeners and beginners. The variety is characterized by stable fruiting and adapts well to various growing conditions. The plant is tall, mid-season, forming a powerful bush up to 1.6 meters high. Flower clusters are laid evenly, the ovary is abundant and uniform. Up to 7 large fruits are formed in one cluster. The fruits have an original pear-like shape and resemble large truffles in appearance. The color is rich, raspberry red, and very attractive. The tomatoes are fleshy, with dense, juicy pulp, without excessive wateriness.
The average weight of the fruit reaches 180-200 grams. The taste is excellent: rich, balanced, sweet with a slight tomato sourness. The fruits are especially good when fresh, but the variety is also ideal for pickling and processing—the tomatoes retain their shape and pulp structure. A separate advantage is good shelf life: under room conditions, the fruits can be stored for up to 10 days without loss of quality. In terms of fruit shape, the variety is often compared to the well-known “100 Pud” tomato, but “Ivan Kupala” differs in its brighter color and distinctive appearance.
