JACKASS GREEN DWARF, USA. A medium-height, mid-season variety with strong, thick stems. Fruits have a unique coloration — light green with orange and red blushes. At full ripeness, they remain green with a hint of amber. The fruits are large, flattened, ribbed near the stem, and impressively colorful and flavorful. Bush height reaches up to 1 meter in open ground.
This variety delivers abundant and consistent yields from mid-season onward. It impressed us with a sweet, very pleasant flavor - easily a 5. The flesh is green, juicy, with small seed cavities. Avoid over-ripening, as the texture becomes too soft and shortens storage life. A new variety bred by J. Baedler from a cross between ‘Red House Free Standing’ and ‘Cherokee Green’.
Fruits are flattened with ribbing at the top and softly waved shoulders. The green skin gains a slight amber hue as it ripens, especially on the top. It has a distinct, flavorful profile best enjoyed before full ripeness — overripe fruits quickly lose quality. A hardy dwarf plant with a broad growth habit, regular foliage, and indeterminate growth type.
