JADE WHIRLPOOL. An absolute new release from the breeding program of Lyudmila Kodzasova from Latvia. The variety is still undergoing stabilization, so some segregation of traits may occur in the offspring. Even at this stage, it impresses with its unusual coloration, striking appearance, and exceptional flavor. The fruits have a beautiful heart shape and an original green color, with bright red rays radiating from the pointed tip. The coloration is highly expressive both inside and out. Toward the end of the season, the flesh becomes a rich, vivid red, while only the fruit walls remain green, creating a remarkable contrast. The variety is mid-season and indeterminate.
The plant is strong and vigorous, reaching about 1.9 m in height in the open field. The clusters are well filled, producing 7–9 fruits each, with virtually every flower setting fruit. The tomatoes are medium-sized, weighing approximately 180–250 g, uniform, very attractive, and resistant to cracking. The flesh is juicy and meaty, yet not watery and does not run. There are only a few seed cavities, while most of the fruit consists of dense, juicy flesh. The flavor is distinctly sweet with pronounced fruity notes, a rich fruity aroma, plenty of juice, and a pleasant fruity aftertaste. This is a truly striking bicolor that deserves top marks for its beauty, intensely colored flesh, and incomparable sweetness.
