JARSON-8. A mid-season indeterminate variety with large, striking fruits of deep red color. The fruits are slightly flattened, broad heart-shaped, with pronounced longitudinal ribbing, giving them an elegant and very attractive appearance. The flesh is juicy and meaty, with a rich, well-balanced tomato flavor. The plant is vigorous and powerful, reaching 1.8-1.9 m in height in open ground. The bush is wide and spreading, with strong, drooping foliage. Requires training and reliable support.
This variety is mid-season and consistently demonstrates a high potential for growth and fruit production. Clusters usually carry 3-4 fruits. The average fruit weight is 250-350 g, while individual fruits can reach 700-800 g. Yield is above average, and under favorable conditions extremely high: plants are literally covered with fruits, creating the impression of a “wall of tomatoes.” The fruits are of universal use. They are ideal for fresh salads, sauces, juices, and thick preserves.
Thanks to the dense yet juicy flesh and beautiful shape, the variety is highly valued by both home gardeners and collectors of large-fruited heart-shaped tomatoes. Bred by the Polish breeder Yarson, this variety is rightly considered one of his most successful large red tomatoes, combining high productivity, impressive fruit size, and excellent flavor.
