KARKIANO. An ancient, rare variety from the Basque region of Spain. A true tomato heirloom with deep historical roots. This tall-growing, mid-season variety is intended for open-field cultivation. Plants reach about 1.5 meters in height and require staking and pruning. The variety is known for its high yield and consistent fruiting throughout the season.
The fruits are large, deep red, meaty, beefsteak-type, weighing between 300 and 600 grams. The flesh is juicy, dense, with a delicate, perfectly balanced sweet flavor and a bright tomato aroma. These tomatoes are a true find for gourmets: incredibly tasty and aromatic, perfect for fresh eating, salads, as well as sauces and juice.
This is not a hybrid and certainly not for those who prefer mass-produced greenhouse tomatoes. This variety is for true connoisseurs of classic tomatoes, tested by time and generations. A pearl among heirlooms, it will be the pride of any garden and a true collector's treasure. Recommended for open-field cultivation.
