KOZULA-128, Poland. A mid-season variety featuring a rare combination of dark hues. The plant grows up to 0.8 meters tall, producing clusters of 3 to 5 fruits weighing between 150 and 250 grams each. The fruits are round and slightly flattened, displaying a mix of chocolate, red, and green shades. When cut open, the flesh reveals a rich blood-red color with small seed cavities.
This medium-sized, mid-season variety was developed by Anna Yankowski. The plants have moderate density and branching, with above-average yields. The fruit’s flavor is rich, sweet, and very aromatic—bright, juicy, with a spicy tomato note. The fruits are beautifully colored in purple with green stripes and can weigh up to 250 grams. Seeds for this variety were sourced from Poland.
DESCRIPTION OF KOZULA-128:
A recent variety created by the well-known Polish breeder Anna Jankowski, also known as "Kozula". Only the color seems to be stabilized so far, while the shape is still known to vary. The fruit has dark purple, almost black skin with metallic green stripes.
The shape varies from a pointed, plum-like egg with a more or less pronounced nipple at the tip to a flattened fruit with or without ribbing in the upper half. Exceptionally tasty, rich, and aromatic flavor.
