LADY BROWN. A medium-height, mid-season, very productive tomato variety. In open ground, the plants reach up to 1 meter in height. They are compact, with a strong main stem and a well-developed root system. The plants form a dense, neat canopy with moderate foliage, ensuring good air circulation and sunlight access to the fruits. The fruits are large, weighing between 150 and 350 grams, with a round-heart or flat-round shape. Their color is rich red-brown with a characteristic dark, almost chocolate hue, typical for anthocyanin-rich tomatoes. The skin is thin but firm and resistant to cracking. The flesh is very meaty, juicy, with a pronounced sweetness and pleasant fruity aroma. The flavor is deep and rich, with subtle notes of plum and dried fruits, reminiscent of the best black tomato varieties.
The variety stands out for its stable and very high yield. The bushes are literally covered with fruits, often overloaded, and require staking. Fruits ripen uniformly and almost simultaneously, making them convenient for bulk harvesting. These tomatoes are excellent both fresh and for processing into juices, sauces, lecho, and paste. Thanks to their dense yet tender flesh, the fruits are also well-suited for baking and stuffing. The variety is undemanding, resistant to major tomato diseases, adapts well to various weather conditions, and delivers consistently high yields even in unfavorable seasons. Recommended for growing in open ground and under film covers.
