LESYA RED. A wonderful Ukrainian variety bred by the Bilous family from Khmelnytskyi region, Ukraine. This is an early-ripening, drought-resistant, determinate variety that forms compact bushes about 50 cm tall. The plants are distinguished by uniform fruit setting and stable yields even under unfavorable weather conditions. The fruits are smooth, uniform, with a beautiful heart shape and a characteristic pointed tip, weighing 160-190 g.
The color is very intense, bright red, which makes the tomatoes especially attractive. The flesh is up to 10 mm thick, making the fruits juicy, meaty, yet firm and transportable.
The flavor is well-balanced — sweet with a slight tomato acidity, rich and full, with a pronounced fresh tomato aroma. Perfect both for fresh consumption and for various culinary purposes. They can be used for stuffing, baking, canning, freezing, making sauces, lecho, tomato paste, and juice. The variety is recognized as a season’s favorite in terms of yield among its analogues, and without doubt is one of the best representatives of Ukrainian breeding. It enjoys high demand among gardeners and farmers due to its compact plant size, excellent taste, and outstanding market appeal of the fruits.
