LIVINGSTON'S YELLOW OXHEART. An indeterminate, mid-to-late season, high-yielding tomato variety developed in the USA in 1929 by the renowned breeder Livingston. The plants are vigorous, with strong stems and a well-developed root system, forming densely foliated bushes up to 1.5 meters tall in open ground. The leaves are of the regular type, dark green in color.
Fruits come in various shapes, most commonly round-oxheart, with a bright orange color, very firm and dense. The skin is smooth, free from cracks and spots, and highly resistant to splitting. Fruit weight ranges from 180 to 330 grams. These tomatoes are very meaty, moderately juicy, and have a rich, well-balanced flavor that combines sweetness with a refreshing tang.
Perfect for fresh consumption, salads, sauces, and tomato juice. Thanks to their dense texture and attractive appearance, the fruits store and transport well. The variety shows consistently high yields in both open-field and greenhouse conditions. Requires staking and regular pruning.
