FAIRY SHINE (MÄRCHENGLANZ), Germany. A modern and highly attractive variety of German breeding. Part of the renowned "Kleverhof Fairy Tale" collection. Fairy Shine is the earliest ripening representative of this series. It is an ultra-early red-fruited variety with round-shaped fruits that grow in clusters and display anthocyanin markings on the skin.
From the very beginning, the plant stands out among others: it has sparse foliage but forms fruit clusters through short internodes. From the start of fruit set and until the onset of frost, the plant is adorned with bright fruits. Initially green with blue stripes, they develop a rich violet hue and eventually mature into a deep raspberry-red color.
A distinctive feature of this tomato is its dark purple anthocyanin patches. The variety is easy to grow and requires almost no pruning. The plant is strong, compact, not sprawling, and takes up little space. Thanks to its short internodes, it shows a high yield potential. In open ground, the plant reaches a height of 1.8 meters.
