MARCONI PURPLE. An Italian early-ripening sweet pepper variety. The plant is tall, strong, and well-leafed, which reliably protects the fruits from sunburn. Height in open ground is about 70-90 cm. The fruits are sweet, thin-walled, conical in shape, and about 10-15 cm long. Peppers of this variety can be consumed at any stage of ripeness: from green and dark purple to fully red, allowing for versatile culinary use. The flesh is sweet, with a wall thickness of 3-4 mm, making this variety especially suitable for slicing into rings for salads, stuffing, or grilling. The variety is highly productive — up to 15 fruits can form on one plant.
Weight is approximately 150-200 grams. The fruits have good shelf life and can be stored for a long time after harvest. The purple hue of the peppers indicates a high content of anthocyanins. The presence of natural antioxidants makes this pepper beneficial for human health, supporting the immune system, improving heart function, and having anti-inflammatory properties. This variety is ideal for home cultivation in open ground and greenhouses, as well as for commercial production due to its stable yield and attractive fruit appearance.
