MARCONI ROSSO. A mid-early, high-yielding sweet pepper variety of Italian origin. The bush is vigorous, well-developed, about 70-75 cm tall, with strong shoots and abundant ovary, stably fruiting in open ground and greenhouses. The fruits are among the longest of the season — elongated, cylindrical, often slightly wavy, "accordion-like," up to 25-30 cm long and weighing 250-300 g. They may have 3-4 lobes and show some variability in shape.
At technical ripeness, the color is bright green; at biological ripeness, it is a rich red. The flesh is juicy, sweet, with excellent taste, although the wall is somewhat thinner than in classic thick-walled varieties. The fruits are ideal for fresh consumption, baking, grilling, and processing. The variety is distinguished by a very high yield, the decorative appearance of its long fruits, and reliability in cultivation, making it an excellent choice for both amateurs and farmers.
