MARIO TRICOLOR HEART ANTO. A young variety from Natalia Ananyeva. It arose from an accidental cross between the “Mario Heart” variety and an anthocyanin variety, which gave the fruits an exceptionally unusual and striking coloration. In open ground, the plant grows to about 1.5 m, remaining slender and neat, while requiring very little attention and producing almost no unnecessary suckers. Each cluster produces 3–4 large fruits with an average weight of 300–500 g, and the yield is above average. The tomatoes have a mesmerizing appearance: the lower part is colored in chocolate-purple-bronze tones, while the upper part is covered with a dense inky anthocyanin blush.
The shape may vary slightly, from a flattened heart to an elongated heart-plum shape, while the skin is very thin and there are no green shoulders. When cut open, the fruit reveals emerald-green flesh with a bright red “tie” inside. The tomatoes are juicy, have almost no seed chambers, and possess a fantastic fruity aroma with a very sweet, spicy flavor. Due to the minimal number of seed chambers, there are only a few seeds in each packet, but the fruits themselves are truly impressive for their combination of unusual color, shape, aroma and flavor.
