MARYLAND RED. Tall, mid-season, and highly productive tomato variety. In open ground, plants can reach up to 2 meters in height, forming strong, well-leafed indeterminate bushes. Requires staking and pruning. Fruits are large, deep red, weighing between 300 and 700 grams. They have a beautiful, uniform shape and excellent marketability. The flesh is dense, meaty, almost juice-free, with very few seeds.
Flavor is well-balanced, with a distinct sweet-and-tart note due to the perfect balance of sugars and acids. Perfect for fresh consumption as well as for thick sauces and pastes. According to the results of the 2023 season, this variety showed record performance in yield, appearance, and drought resistance. Even in extremely dry weather — without watering and with no rainfall — the plants continued to produce stable, high-quality fruit.
Throughout the season, tomatoes retained excellent density and flavor. The variety also demonstrated high resistance to diseases, making it an excellent choice for both hobby gardeners and professional growers seeking reliable harvests with minimal care. Recommended for open-field cultivation.
