MATT’S HORNET. An insanely beautiful early tomato variety! One of the most decorative and at the same time productive among the "icicle" types. The fruits are elongated, teardrop-shaped with a distinct "nipple", bright red with striking golden tiger stripes — each fruit looks like a small work of art. The clusters are strong and multi-fruited, holding 15-20 tomatoes, which ensures an excellent yield even from a single plant.
Fruits weigh between 12 and 20 grams, they are dense, meaty, very sweet and fragrant, with a rich tomato flavor and fruity notes. Perfect for fresh eating and for whole-fruit canning. The plants are vigorous, growing up to 1.5 meters tall, with thick, sturdy stems and good foliage. The variety is highly resistant to diseases and provides stable yields even under less favorable conditions.
The origin story makes this variety truly special: the famous breeder Tom Wagner contributed to creating the parental line, and the final line was discovered and named by Ellen Pong — thanks to her, the variety got a second life and earned recognition among collectors and fans of unique tomatoes.
