BUTTERSCOTCH. A mid-season, high-yielding variety with a very unusual and attractive appearance. According to some sources, the variety was created by Bill Jeffers. The plants form tall bushes about 1.2–1.3 m high and set fruit well in clusters. Each cluster usually produces 6–8 small tomatoes.
The fruits are elongated, plum-shaped, weighing approximately 60–90 g. Their mustard-golden color with a distinctive metallic sheen gives this variety a particularly striking and unusual appearance. The flesh is juicy, jelly-like and fairly firm, yet tender. The flavor is pleasant and sweet-tart, with interesting exotic notes, making these tomatoes well suited for fresh eating and an attractive addition to a variety of vegetable dishes.
