MEGA MARV. A mid-season variety for greenhouses, named after its originator Marvin Meisner. A tall, very productive tomato, one of the true giants in our collection of large-fruited varieties. In open ground, plants reach a height of 1.5 to 1.7 m, forming a powerful bush with good foliage and a developed root system. The variety requires mandatory tying and shaping. The fruits are very large, round-flat in shape, with a pronounced rib at the stalk, and a rich red color.
The taste is excellent and balanced: there is a bright sweetness, well complemented by a pleasant, refreshing sourness. Ideal for fresh consumption, especially in salads. The variety shows stable results even in difficult weather conditions. In the good season of 2020, some of our fruits reached a weight of up to 1.5 kg, while several others weighed around 1.2 kg. Even in the unfavorable season of 2022, the fruit weighed up to 900 g, while the taste remained at a high level.
The tomatoes are distinguished by their dense, fleshy pulp with moderate juice content and a characteristic tomato aroma. A real find for lovers of large and tasty tomatoes who appreciate both appearance and gastronomic qualities. This tomato is intended for salads, but is also good for making ketchup. Its main advantage is its consistently high yield and classic tomato flavor, making it one of the best large-fruited tomatoes, so we highly recommend it.
