MEI WEI, China. An early, tall, and high-yielding variety. Imported to Sweden from China around 1990. The most beautiful cherry tomato of the 2021 season among red-pink varieties. The fruits are heart-shaped, weighing up to 25 g, bright red, shiny, spotless, and gathered in long clusters. Simply gorgeous! Plus, they are very tasty, sweet like candy, and pleasantly aromatic. The fruits hold firmly on the clusters and can be cut off in bunches. They can hang on the plants for a long time without over-ripening and without loss of quality. Harvested fruits stayed outdoors in a box until frost without visible damage.
A super-early variety, a novelty of Chinese breeding. Interestingly, the literal translation of the name is "delicious." We had no prior experience with growing Chinese varieties. This debut acquaintance ended wonderfully! The plant grew up to 1.4 meters tall and bore fruits constantly, from the bottom to the top. Each cluster is complex, with countless fruits on the plant (15 fruits and more), none of the fruits fall off, they sit tightly, and each weighs 20-25 g. But all this pales in comparison to the taste! We highly recommend it! Top marks for taste and yield!
