MICHAEL'S PORTUGUESE MONSTER. A tall (up to 2 meters), late-season, large-fruited tomato variety — a true giant among tomatoes. The plants are vigorous, well-leafed, and require staking and pruning for optimal growth. The fruits are exceptionally large, flat-round in shape, dense, meaty, with very few seeds and almost no voids. Average fruit weight is around 1-1.5 kg, but with good care, even larger fruits are possible. The variety does not produce small or medium-sized tomatoes — only large and extra-large ones.
The flesh is firm, almost solid meat, with a rich dark pink color. Flavor is sweet, rich, without acidity, and has a classic tomato aroma.
