MICRO DWARF LIL’ PEEPS. This variety belongs to the group of miniature, mid-early to mid-season tomatoes and was created specifically for compact growing. The plant is determinate, forming a very neat bush only 30-60 cm tall, most often around 30-35 cm, making it an ideal choice for pots, containers, balconies, windowsills, and open ground. The plant does not require pruning or sucker removal, which greatly simplifies care and makes it suitable even for beginners. Fruit set is exceptionally abundant: the bush is literally covered with miniature tomatoes.
The plant features strong, thick, and sturdy shoots that do not grow upward but instead spread horizontally along the surface, forming a dense and stable shape. The foliage is large, potato-leaf type, with an unusual cup-shaped form and curled edges, giving the plant a decorative and attractive appearance even without fruit. The fruits are small, weighing 20-30 g, bright yellow in color, heart-shaped, with a pronounced pointed “beak”.
Flavor is one of the main strengths of this variety. The fruits have a very rich, distinctly sweet taste with fruity notes, earning a tasting score of 5+ points. However, it is important to consume the tomatoes only when fully ripe. When underripe, the flesh can be firm and not juicy enough, and the flavor will not be fully developed. At full maturity, the flesh becomes juicy and tender, with a pleasant sweet-tangy balance.
VARIETY HISTORY
According to the breeders, Lil’ Peeps is a stable, developed variety created by Bunny Hop Seeds, resulting from the cross Floragold Basket × (Orange Pixie × Orange Strawberry). The pointed tips of the fruits are slightly off-center, so when positioned correctly, they resemble tiny upward-pointing beaks. This distinctive feature gave the variety its memorable name.
When fully ripe, the fruits are not only delicious but also highly decorative, making this variety especially attractive for container and balcony growing, as well as for collectors of rare and unusual tomatoes. This micro-dwarf perfectly combines compact size, high productivity, ornamental value, and outstanding flavor, remaining one of the best yellow miniature tomatoes for limited spaces.
